Patterns
The problem is that there are many false prophets out there. Fortunately, one of the more readily available solutions for us all is to study the Bible.
But no matter what your source of inspiration, it is only by learning - line upon line - how inspired things work can we ever hope to separate Gods true ministers, from mankind’s hirelings and monsters.
Chosen?
Interestingly, while millions will tell us of the beautiful experiences we have had reading the Bible, others who are not as willing to repent tell us that reading the book is a complete waste of time. But those who are ready for the message soon learn that God is often only giving others what they hope to receive. God knows that He can work with us only as quickly as we will allow Him to do so.
Why Not?
Yet even those who have not experienced The Way should at least be able to admit that teaching a belief in an after life is a good thing. Why? Because teaching people about eternal consequences is to teach people that, even if mortal laws do not catch one doing evil, that there will still be a hell to pay.
Why is that good? Because when people truly believe in unavoidable consequences for their actions - as our ancestors did – be we inspired or not, as we all seek to earn our reward (or, on the negative side, seek to avoid any punishment – your choice!), any society cannot help but to prosper.
